Councillor Russel Hurst

First elected to council in October 2022. Russel is serving his first term on council for the Township.

Russel, their wife and 2 primary school aged children have lived in Puslinch township since 2018. Russel’s career has been primarily within the agricultural industry where he is active in his family’s farming operation, and he currently serves as the Executive Director of the Ontario as a provincial agricultural trade association. Russel earned a degree and an MBA in agri business from the University of Guelph and a MSc in Crop Science from the University of Illinois.
