The Township offers Commissioner of Oaths services for certain types of documents.
*A commissioner of oaths (also called a commissioner for taking affidavits) only has authority to administer oaths and take affidavits. The authority is given under the Commissioner for Taking Affidavits Act.
The person signing the affidavit must show government issued identification (such as a valid Driver’s Licence) and is required to sign in the presence of the Commissioner.
Foreign pension forms that require the signature of a Township official may also be dealt with at the Municipal Office.
We suggest you call ahead to make sure a Commissioner is available. The current fee for this service can be found in the User Fees and Charges By-law.
